Road Trip Around Scotland Part 1 (Glasgow)

It was the spring of year 2014, me and few of my friends wanted to travel around Scotland. Although we have been in uk for few years, we have not ventured to the Northern part of UK.

We planned to go on the trip in Easter holiday, when there is a 4 days of holiday.
There were 6 of us going on the road trip, so we hire a 7 seater van from Afford Rent A Car company (http://www.affordrentacar.co.uk/) which had the best deals in Stoke On Trent.

On the Friday of 18th April 2014, we started our journey from Stoke On Trent around 5 am to avoid the easter holiday traffic. Our first destination was to visit a Buddhist temple in Glasgow to donate alms to the monks and getting blessing for our journey.

Below are some of snaps I taken while on road.

We had some breakfast from a motorway service area, and was eager to visit our first destination. After 250 miles journey, spending nearly 4 hours on the road we arrived at Scotland’s Buddhist Vihara in Glasgow (http://tsbv.org.uk/).

After alms giving and pirith chanting & sermon from the Buddhist monks we were on our way towards out next destination, Fort William in Western Scottish Highlands.

To be continued....
